Regular dental check-up from a dentist is essential in order to prevent the teeth from gum disease. It allows us to monitor any changes to your gum health or dental condition. Our dentists always advises our patients to take healthy diet along with the oral hygiene instruction with the necessary steps to be taken in order to eliminate any negative changes in your teeth, dental tissues, gums or jaw joint. ( TMJ – temporomandubular joint ) We suggest that people should schedule their dental checkup at every six months.

About General Dentistry

At the Townsville Dental Centre, we advise everyone to take Dental radiographs (x-rays) at every 2 years to enable the dentist to get the light exposure of hidden fields which are not visible to the naked eye during a regular dental check-up.

Our practice suggests that you schedule your 6 monthly dental checkups and clean when you finish your existing appointment with us.

Our primary purpose is to conserve natural tooth structure and maintain healthy gums by minimizing pathological changes which negatively affect your teeth and gums. Preservation or restoration of teeth and gums will result in better health

What We Provide

We provide Gum Disease Treatment in Townsville and do not want dental decay to be undiagnosed as it may result in making teeth weaken and require more extensive treatment or even at worst lead to its extraction. If a tooth is lost, the motility of the adjacent and opposing teeth can be seen close to the open space. This will create other spaces and lead to the food impacting in these areas and it may not take long for another tooth to be getting decayed and results in gum disease. At the end, you may be losing your several teeth. Dental bridgework, implants or a partial denture would be the left option to be used to replace a missing tooth or teeth.
